Environmental Engineering
Moore
Spence Jones has broad experience in environmental investigations and
engineering. Experience has shown that contamination levels do not depend
on the reliability of reported analytical results alone, but are influenced
by the whole sequence of foregoing activities from borehole/well design
and installation, borehole location, the correct execution of sampling
protocols, sample preservation and transportation, through to laboratory
procedures. Moore Spence Jones have adapted international protocols and
standards for environmental investigations to meet local conditions and
capabilities.
Innovative state of the art technologies have been applied to the remediation
of contaminated sites in the treatment and disposal of contaminated soil
and groundwater. Moore Spence Jones have also designed appropriate and
cost effective measures for the rehabilitation of quarries and mine dumps,
and the closure of hazardous landfill sites. Landfill sites have also
been investigated and permitted in terms of the Department of Water Affairs
and Forestry minimum requirements.
Fields of experience and capability include:·
- Environmental Due Diligence Studies
- Soil and Groundwater Contamination Investigations
- Design and Implementation of Remedial Technologies to Contaminated
Sites
- Closure of Hazardous Landfill Sites
- Rehabilitation of Borrow Pits, Quarries and Mine Dumps
- Environmental Management Plan Reports
- Investigation and Permitting Landfill Sites
